Retail system integration

Connect electronic shelf labels to the systems you already use

Replacing your retail software is not necessarily required. We assess how your ERP, POS or back-office platform can share pricing data with the ESL system — and recommend the most practical way to connect them.

Why it matters

One source of truth for your prices

Your prices are already maintained in a system — often an ERP, a POS platform or a dedicated back-office application. When the shelf labels take their data from that same source, prices are changed once and shown consistently on the shelf and at the till.

Without integration, prices would have to be entered twice, which is exactly the kind of manual work electronic shelf labels are meant to remove.

Your existing systems

  • ERP / back office
  • POS software
  • Product & price data

Connection method

  • Direct interface / API where your system supports it
  • File-based exchange such as scheduled CSV import / export

On the shop floor

  • ESL management software
  • Electronic shelf labels
Integration feasibility is assessed individually for each retailer and system.

Integration options

Practical ways to connect

The right approach depends on what your current system supports. These are the options we typically evaluate.

Direct interface or API

Price and product data is exchanged automatically between your system and the ESL software through a supported interface.

Typically used: When your ERP or POS offers a suitable interface or API.

File-based exchange

Your system exports price and product data — for example as a CSV file — which the ESL software imports on a schedule or on demand.

Typically used: When a direct connection is not available or not practical.

Other data exchange methods

Some environments need a different approach. We investigate what your system can provide and propose a workable route.

Typically used: When standard options do not fit your set-up.

Our approach

How we handle integration

  1. Step 1: Assess

We review your ERP/POS, how prices are maintained, and what data your system can share.

  2. Step 2: Design

We agree the connection method, data fields, update frequency and responsibilities.

  3. Step 3: Test

We test the data flow with real price changes before the labels go live.

  4. Step 4: Go live & support

We switch over, monitor the first updates and remain available for support.

Before we start

Helpful information to have ready

You do not need technical documentation to get started — but the following helps us give you a clear answer sooner.

  • The name and version of your ERP, POS or back-office software
  • Who supports that software (in-house team or external provider)
  • How prices and promotions are currently maintained
  • If possible, an example export of product and price data
Our commitment to honest adviceWe do not promise compatibility with every system. Each environment is assessed individually, and we will tell you clearly what is possible, what it involves and whether another approach makes more sense.
